We are currently recruiting for a Principal Environmental Engineer for an initial 9 month contract, working on behalf of our client, a global oil & gas engineering contractor based in Surrey, on various oil & gas sector projects.
This position is a full time contract role, 3 days per week office based and a possible 2 days WFH.
Candidates must have recent and relevant experience within the oil & gas sector, preferably in LNG.

Roles and Responsibilities
* As part of a project team, perform all aspects of Working Environment scope area
* Familiar with prevailing regulations and requirements for environment
* Evaluations and input to design and deliverables related to environmental Engineering:
* Environment Management Plan and System
* Major Environmental Event Register
* Environmental Impact and Risk Register
* Environmental Compliance Register
* Emission and Discharges Inventory
* Equator Principles Study
* Environmental Impact Assessment
* Environmental Impact Mitigation
* Environment Baseline Study
* Environmental ALARP
* Pollution Control Study
* GHG emission and Carbon Tax Study
* Carbon Accounting / Energy Efficiency Opportunities Assessment (EEOA)
* ENVID
* Chemical exposure
* Radiation
* Participate, provide input and facilitate design and construction reviews, with emphasis on environment
* Provide input to survey-checklist and reports
* Provide input to internal design specifications and specifications towards suppliers and third parties.
* Follow-up supplier – quality and timeliness – with respect to environmental engineering deliverables.
* Close cooperation with other disciplines and departments to ensure working environment requirements are known and implemented in their deliverables.
Skills and experience
* Able to undertake any specific area of Environment Engineering scope independently.
* Skills gained through undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including final year design projects and any work placements.

Location: Surrey
Working hours: 40 hrs per week/5 days. Up to 2 days per week remote working is possible.
Rate: c. £60 p/h (Ltd Co)
Duration: Initial 9 month contract
