Location: Bridport (office-based)
£28,000 statting salary

About the role
An established UK engineering and manufacturing business within the renewable energy sector is recruiting a Graduate Design & Technical Engineer to join its growing technical team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to gain hands-on experience in product design, technical engineering and renewable energy solutions, working closely with experienced engineers across live projects and R&D activities.
Key responsibilities
• Support the design and development of engineered products using 3D CAD software
• Assist with concept design, detailed drawings and basic value engineering
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and documentation
• Support research, development, testing and inspection activities
• Work alongside senior engineers to assess product performance and suitability
• Assist with preparing technical drawings, manuals and reports
• Provide technical support to internal teams and assist with customer queries
• Attend meetings, site visits and occasional industry events as part of development
Requirements
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (graduate level)
• Experience using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD (academic or placement)
• Interest in product design, manufacturing or renewable energy
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Full right to work without a VISA
