Working in partnership with the NHS continuing healthcare teams, our enhanced level of specialist clinical support enables individual clients to remain at home even when the level of health care required is highly complex. Our services are provided through local and specialty focused multi-disciplinary teams.
Role Purpose
Reporting to the Quality & Governance Manager, the Quality & Governance Auditor will provide effective support with concerns, complaints, incidents and safeguarding concerns across the business, in line with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and HFH Healthcare policies and procedures.
They work closely with our clients, staff, commissioners and health and social care colleagues to identify effective and sustainable resolution to issues raised.
The Quality & Governance Auditor plays a key role in conducting an effective
clinical and workforce audit
programme that leads to recognition of safety, good practice, opportunities for continuous improvement and staff experience, in line with the CQC, HFH policies and procedures and other regulatory standards.
They correlate, analyse and present results to service management teams to inform understanding of current services, recognition of good practice and opportunities for improvement.
Audit programme delivery
Support the Quality & Governance Manager and Director of Nursing to ensure that audits are undertaken across the organisation in line with the annual governance quality plan.
Provide audit results, that enable management teams to make informed decisions on good practice and areas for improvement.
Prepare audit reports for the Governance Forum and the Board
Audit areas include:
Client care plans, risk assessments and documentation.
Client medication/MARs charts
Client and Carer welfare calls
Client quality reviews
Staff and carer compliance requirements in line with Safer Recruitment regulations
Staff and carer HR files and documentation in line with Safer Recruitment regulations

Responsibilities
Working with the Quality & Governance Manager with the management of all concerns, complaints, incidents, safeguarding cases and CQC notification submissions.
Ensure that all incidents are recorded and reported in an accurate and timely manner.
Ensure the timely submission of CQC notifications and ICB referrals ensuring accuracy and transparency for all concerns, complaints, incidents and safeguarding concerns.
Timely and appropriate communication with all parties involved.
Track all aspects of the concerns, complaints, incidents and safeguarding process, from acknowledgement through investigation, action planning, resolution and sharing learning.
Ensure that an investigation officer has been appointed to each incident.
Support investigating officers in the gathering and reviewing of case facts, documentation, evidence and completion of root cause analysis, where indicated and minute taking at meetings (when required)
Support staff and client investigations where required, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and sensitivity is maintained throughout the process.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders during the collation of evidence as required.
Provide formal responses and outcomes from investigations to all external bodies involved as appropriate.
Track the progress of delivery against action plans for CQC regulations.
Support the Quality & Governance Manager with data collection for monthly Board meetings and the submission of monthly and quarterly external agency reports.
Support the Quality & Governance Manager to implement and distribute the client, carer, commissioner and head office staff satisfaction surveys and correlate findings.
Shared Learning & Development
Participate in training and development of staff, in the tools and techniques of audit, data interpretation and action planning.
