Head of Repairs

We have a new opportunity for a Head of Repairs to lead our approach to regional property maintenance, manage high-performing teams, oversee contractors, drive efficiency and compliance, and deliver excellent repairs, empty homes, and emergency services. Youll help shape strategies, budgets, and business plans while embedding a culture of performance and putting our customers at the heart of everything we do.
Salary: £85,521 per year (plus car user allowance)
Contract: Permanent, full time
Your week : 36.25 hours (Monday to Friday 8:45am 5pm)
Location : Hybrid, with a weekly presence in either our Milton Keynes, Rushden or Peterborough office
Snapshot of your role
Collaborate with senior management, Heads of Service, and Regional Directors to shape service delivery and organisational priorities.
Oversee the delivery of repairs and maintenance, managing contractors, monitoring performance, and driving continuous improvement.
Develop and implement effective resourcing strategies, including apprenticeships and professional development, to support business growth.
Ensure budgets, cash flow, and financial controls are accurately managed and aligned with business plans.
Analyse KPIs, customer feedback, and complaints to maintain service quality and take corrective action where needed.
Implement health and safety policies, ensure legal compliance, and manage risk across all operations.
What were looking for
Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience, with senior-level experience in a maintenance organisation.
Experience managing a large remote team and delivering cost-effective operational services.
Strong understanding of health and safety, risk compliance, and budget management
Interest in housing and empathy with the aims of Amplius
Ability to empower and engage colleagues, inspire confidence and trust, and adapt to change.
Personable, flexible, and able to apply operational and strategic thinking to achieve better outcomes.
A full UK driving license is essential for this role.
