The role will involve assessment of plans / checking of Building Control applications, and undertaking inspections of various building projects, filing inspection reports using the latest digital technology. You must have experience of undertaking these roles for either LABC, NHBC or another RBCA, and be registered with the BSR at Class 2A or above.
Location & Travel
The role is home based and requires travel by car/motorcycle to building sites within London, East Sussex and Kent within a 40 mile radius of your home. Ideally situated in Tunbridge Wells, Ashford, Haywards Heath or Croydon areas.
You will need to attend the West Malling office 1 day per week (though you are welcome to attend more often). Our clients are mostly commercial, though we do have some small domestic projects. We also have some large commercial projects for those wanting to progress under supervision to class 3 and even Public Sector projects offering a really interesting and rewarding mix where every day is different. NB we do not undertake work on High Rise buildings.
Remote Opportunities

Remuneration
Salary band is currently £38K – £50K based on qualifications and experience (2A - 2E).
Qualifications & Experience
You will need hold a relevant qualification and have at least 2 years’ experience of working with Building Regulations for a BCB in the UK.
In addition, the role requires basic IT skills such as the ability to use an iPad to complete and submit inspection reports. The ability to drive is essential to this post.
