Join Our Team as a Skilled CNC Operator!
Are you ready to take your career to the next level? At Waukesha Bearings, part of Dover Precision Components, we are looking for a Skilled CNC Operator to join our dynamic team. You’ll be an integral part of a cutting-edge Computer Aided Manufacturing facility, where you’ll utilize state-of-the-art CNC machining centers for turning, milling, and grinding operations. Your work will help produce customized designs from a variety of materials, including steel, copper, brass, aluminum, and bronze.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Skilled CNC Operator, you will:
* Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining requirements.
* Set up and operate multi-axis machine tools, ideally Correa and/or Doosan.
* Download programs from a DNC storage system and interpret work instructions.
* Calculate feeds and speeds for various materials.
* Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments.
* Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance productivity.
* Visually inspect final components and prepare them for shipment.
What You Bring
We’re looking for candidates who have:
* A time-served apprenticeship in a machining discipline or an SVQ/NVQ level 3 or HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience operating CNC machine tools in a lean-manufacturing environment.
* Established milling experience with multi-axis machine tools.
* Experience with machine control systems such as Fanuc, Mazak, Heidenhain, or Haas.
* The ability to hold tight machining tolerances of less than .0025mm.
* Familiarity with precision inspection equipment like micrometers and calipers.
* Experience in power generation, oil & gas, aerospace, or similar industries is a plus.
Working Conditions
Enjoy a 37-hour work week from Monday to Friday with permanent employment contracts. Choose between:
* £44,919.62 for a rotating shift pattern (early and backshifts).
* £52,452.37 for night shifts.
