Job Title: Field Service HGV Technician (Northwest Region)
Our client is seeking a skilled HGV Mechanic to join an established Field Service / Mobile Technician team to cover the Manchester / Northwest region. You will work in various workshops with a company van, managing your own diary and workload, providing a professional technical service to clients. You will be a dedicated professional mechanic to repair, maintain, and service customer vehicles both at their premises and within companies' workshops.

Hours: 45 hrs per week | typical hours 06:00–18:00 Monday to Friday (flexible 40 or 26 hours can be discussed)
Salary: £39,000 to £43,475 per annum (skills and hours to be discussed)

Duties
* Perform routine maintenance tasks to a high standard
* Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on vehicles and equipment, MOT preparation
* Conduct thorough 6 weekly inspections to identify potential problems or safety concerns
* Liaise with customers professionally and ensure timely completion of scheduled maintenance
* Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve issues
* Adhere to health & safety regulations and support quality assurance and continuous improvements
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs
* Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
* Road test vehicles when required (if holder of HGV licence)
Skills
* Strong mechanical skills with the ability to diagnose and repair various types of HGV vehicles and equipment
* Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
* Excellent problem-solving skills to identify issues and find effective solutions
* Attention to detail to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Good communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and team members
Requirements
* Valid driver's license, class 1 or 2 (desirable)
* Previous experience as a repair Mechanic
* NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent Level 3 qualifications in vehicle repair
* Semi-skilled / time served / or light vehicle technicians will be considered
