Job Title: Colleague Communications Executive
Location: Milton Keynes OR Covent Garden, London (Hybrid)
About the role:
We are hiring a Communications Executive to join BSI’s Communications team, supporting the delivery of clear, engaging, and consistent communications across the organisation.
This role plays an important part in shaping how we communicate with colleagues and stakeholders, helping to bring strategy, change, and key initiatives to life. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and functional teams to develop content, manage channels, and ensure communications are timely, accurate, and aligned to BSI’s values and purpose.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the development and delivery of internal communications plans aligned to business priorities.
2. Create clear, engaging content across a range of channels, including intranet, email, presentations, and leadership updates.
3. Manage and maintain communications channels, ensuring content is current, accurate, and effective.
4. Support communications for organisational change, transformation initiatives, and employee engagement activity.
5. Work with senior stakeholders to translate complex information into accessible messaging.
6. Coordinate communications calendars and ensure timely delivery of key messages.
7. Monitor engagement metrics and feedback to support continuous improvement.
8. Provide general communications support, including ad-hoc projects and events.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
9. Experience working in a communications, engagement, or content role.
10. Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
11. Experience using digital communications platforms and tools.
12. Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
13. Strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative working style.
14. A proactive mindset with attention to detail and a solutions-focused approach.
Desirable:
15. Experience in internal communications within a large or complex organisation.
16. Familiarity with change communications or transformation programmes.
17. Experience using intranet platforms, analytics, or design tools.
