Inventory Controller (Permanent) Key Responsibilities: Organise and manage the stores area, ensuring a comprehensive layout and proper storage of stock. Receive and process deliveries, ensuring accuracy and addressing any discrepancies with suppliers. Maintain and update the inventory database, ensuring all stock movements are accurately recorded. Prepare and dispatch stock as requested, ensuring that all related paperwork is completed and up to date. Conduct regular inventory checks, including daily, monthly, and random stock counts, and investigate any discrepancies. Liaise with the Purchasing team and suppliers regarding delivery schedules, damaged goods, or other issues. Ensure stock is stored in appropriate locations and maintain hygiene standards, particularly for food products. Monitor stock levels and prepare orders for replenishment as required. Implement control measures to prevent inaccuracies, mistakes, and theft. Provide reports on stock discrepancies and control measures to management as requested. Support the team by covering during absences and working flexible hours, including weekends, as needed. Facilitate collaboration and maintain open lines of communication with various departments such as Air Cargo, Housekeeping, Finance, IT, and others to ensure seamless operations and efficient workflow. Maintain thorough records of all transactions related to private deliveries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures. Manage the transportation of stock between warehouses using the company van or car as needed, ensuring safe and timely deliveries. Provide logistical and operational support to the medical department during hospital setup activities, ensuring all supplies and equipment are appropriately managed. Ensure adherence to and effective management of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all tasks, promoting consistency and efficiency in operations. Lead and oversee a small team of Warehouse Assistants, delegating tasks and monitoring performance based on site-specific needs and operational demands. Assume responsibility for a variety of tasks assigned by management, which may include overseeing private deliveries, coordinating warehouse operations, managing goods-in processes, and handling private stock management activities. Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance operational efficiency and ensure high-quality service delivery across all functions. Flexible in scheduling and open to shift changes during busy periods. Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position. Knowledge and Skills: Experience in a similar inventory control role (Essential) Strong understanding of inventory management systems (Essential) Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (Essential) Analytical skills for investigating stock discrepancies (Essential) Ability to work in a high-pressure, customer-focused environment (Essential) Hold a Valid and clean Driving License (Desirable) Forklift Truck Licence or willingness to obtain one (Desirable)
