Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the support driver to a safe and efficient delivery of a roofing repairs in various locations across London and surrounding areas for various housing associations and councils. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, adherence to road safety regulations, and the ability to handle a variety of driving tasks, including flatbed deliveries and loading/unloading.
Multiple work locations will be needed across London & surrounding areas, office base as starting point each day at our yard in Ealing/Ruislip HA4 6QX.Most work will be based in the TW/KT/UB/HA/W postcodes
Responsibilities
Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the transportation of machines and materials across London to support roofing repair teams.
Manual labour assistance to support roofing repair teams.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Load and unload goods safely, utilising flatbed techniques when necessary.
Maintain accurate necessary paperwork.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents promptly.
Assist with route planning and navigation as needed.
Qualifications
Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles.
Valid CSCS labourer or above card (Advantageous)
Driver CPC (required)
Tachograph card (required)
Proven experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to operate flatbed vehicles safely and efficiently is a strong advantage.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
A good level of physical fitness is required for labour support, loading and unloading tasks.
Experience
Driving: 1 year 7.5T or higher (required)
IPAF loading/unloading (advantageous)
Use/Delivery of MEWP equipment (advantageous)
