This is an exciting opportunity to join the Treasury team of this international bank, offering exposure to a fast-paced trading environment and excellent long-term development potential. Based in Guernsey, the role supports the management of the Channel Islands Repo, Money Market, and Foreign Exchange books, providing hands-on experience within an active dealing environment.
The position is well-suited to a motivated, numerate individual with a strong academic background and a keen interest in financial markets.
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
•Supporting the day-to-day operation of Repo, Money Market and FX books across the Channel Islands.
•Managing fund placements and takings to maintain optimal levels in the Bank’s correspondent accounts.
•Assisting in the delivery of enhanced returns and ensuring liquidity requirements are met in line with internal policies and regulatory obligations.
•Producing deposit rate sheets, maintaining the client deposit interest rate structure, and providing ad-hoc quotations for client-facing teams.
•Executing and quoting spot and forward foreign exchange rates, managing exposure and interbank market cover.
•Liaising with internal stakeholders to promote Treasury services and support new and existing client relationships.
•Assisting with regulatory and internal reporting, along with reviewing and maintaining Treasury procedure manuals.
The ideal candidate will have:
The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate or approaching degree completion, preferably with a numerate or finance-related background. They will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and an ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment. A calm and methodical approach, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to high standards of service delivery are essential. Prior exposure to financial services, through internship or employment, would be advantageous.
