We are seeking a new organiser to work on various campaigns in Essex. The role involves recruiting new members, motivating them to participate actively in campaigns, and identifying new activists. You will build member participation through strategic planning, resource allocation, and targeted campaigning, empowering and training members to lead and sustain these efforts.
The ideal candidate will have experience and skills in one-to-one communication, recruitment, organising, and campaigning. Previous experience in a trade union or community organisation is desirable but not essential. Knowledge of trade unionism and our union’s values is required.
The successful candidate must be flexible with working hours and willing to travel. The position is based at our regional office in Chelmsford, with potential travel to our Head Office in London for training.
