We are looking for a Deputy Manager to work alongside the Registered Manager and other Deputy Manager at Cherry Tree Lodge, Scarborough.
The Role:
We are a registered children's home, providing short breaks for children with disabilities. Some of the young people we work with have complex health needs, which may include moving, transferring, and emergency medication administration. We also support children with autism and some behaviours that can challenge. Staff receive regular training to meet these needs alongside a comprehensive induction package.
You will be responsible for supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day management and leadership of the service and deputising for them in their absence. This includes attending key meetings, ensuring Ofsted requirements are met, rota preparation and management, health and safety, staff supervision and appraisal
Hours of work are mainly Monday to Friday but there may be times when other hours are required. You will take part in an out of hours standby rota after completion of induction for the CRCs across North Yorkshire for which an allowance is paid.
Key Requirements:
* Experience of working with children and young people and have either completed Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management of Children's Homes (or relevant qualification) or the commitment to complete this in an agreed timescale.
* Ability to demonstrate real leadership and direction to enable staff to work at their best.
* Capability to provide on-the-ground support and drive change in finding solutions, building sustainable and meaningful relationships.
* Be able to demonstrate evidence of experience within a regulated care setting and have experience of working with children or adults with disabilities.
* Experience of working in a multi-agency environment and IT competence.
