Offer description

Co-opted (Independent) People Committee Member Remuneration: £3,286.40 Location: Pontypridd / occasional remote working Time commitment: Approx. 2 days per month Use your people expertise to shape a values-led organisation, grow your governance career, and make a positive difference to communities across South East Wales. This is a unique opportunity to join Trivallis, one of Wales’ largest housing associations, as a co-opted member of our People Committee. You’ll contribute to our strategic oversight of organisational culture, people policies, workforce planning, and equity, diversity and inclusion, helping us to be an employer of choice and a partner of trust in our communities. As a Co-opted (Independent) People Committee Member, you’ll bring your professional experience in people, HR, or organisational development to support constructive challenge, fresh thinking, and good governance. You’ll work closely with the Board, Executive Team, and fellow Committee Members to make sure our people strategy enables us to deliver our mission of safe, affordable homes and thriving communities. This is also an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build their governance experience at committee level, with potential for progression to full Board membership in future. You’ll gain insight into high-level decision-making, develop your understanding of governance, and see first-hand the difference strong people strategy can make to an organisation’s impact. About Trivallis Trivallis is a not-for-profit community housing provider that manages over 10,000 homes across South East Wales. We are committed to delivering high-quality services and building strong, inclusive communities. Our Board and committees play a vital role in shaping our strategy, monitoring risk, and ensuring we are accountable to our tenants and partners. About You You bring professional experience in at least one area of HR, organisational development, strategic workforce planning. We value experience and a CIPD qualification is not necessary. Collaborative and values-driven, you care about creating an inclusive, engaging workplace where people feel supported to do their best work. You listen with empathy, contribute with thoughtfulness, and balance constructive challenge with a focus on building consensus. Curious and reflective, you’re open to learning from the perspectives and experiences of others. We particularly welcome candidates with lived experience or under-represented viewpoints — including experience of social housing — as this insight helps strengthen our decision-making and connection to the communities we serve. How to Apply Apply today by visiting our careers page and submitting your application by 5th September 2025. We’re looking forward to welcoming you to our team! Join us at Trivallis and be part of something special. Together, we can make a real difference in our communities
