About the LME and LME Clear:
The London Metal Exchange (LME) and LME Clear form the world centre for industrial metals trading and clearing, with the majority of all non-ferrous metal futures business transacted on our platforms. In 2022, 134.2 million lots were traded and cleared, equating to $15.2 trillion and 3.1 billion tonnes notional, with a market open interest high of 1.8 million lots.
The metals community uses the LME and LME Clear platforms to transfer or take on price risk, for clearing and settlement services, as a physical market of last resort and as the provider of transparent global reference prices.
About the role:
An opportunity to join LME Clear's Technology division, as a Team Leader in the Business Analysis team. You will be shaping and delivery of business analysis work for the Regulatory Reporting business service and performing line management for several resources (2-3 initially) the role will report into the Head of Business Analysis.
Responsibilities:
* Acting as the interface between the business teams and IT teams / third party software providers.
* Working closely with third party software providers, architecture, internal developers and testers to ensure that business requirements are understood.
* Defining functional and non-functional requirements for internally developed systems and/or reviewing requirements from third party suppliers. Ensuring these are understood by all business and IT stakeholders.
* Interpretation of Regulation Articles and Regulatory Technical Standards to complete impact assessments and help define change to the LME Group regulatory systems and services.
* Leading analysis and requirements activities for the Regulatory Reporting service, supporting the business team(s) to prioritise and manage their backlog of change enhancements and/or production fixes.
* Working closely with the Head of Business Analysis with regards to BA team resourcing and planning.
* Managing the day-to-day activities of each direct report, including task assignment and workload balancing.
* Setting clear goals and objectives for direct reports, providing regular feedback and coaching to support their personal development. Conducting mid-year and end of year appraisals.
Required Knowledge and Level of Experience:
You will need significant experience working at a Business Analyst, preferably gained in a relevant environment, ideally in a Clearing House, Exchange, Member Firm or the ETD department within a bank.
Previous line management experience would be extremely useful (including experience as Lead BA roles without formal line management responsibilities).
Knowledge of EMIR 2.0/30, MIFID II and BoE regulations would be an advantage.
