Duties:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum for young children
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Provide individualised care and attention to meet the needs of each child
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Observe and assess children's development and progress
- Collaborate with parents to support children's learning and development
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, progress, and incidents
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the program
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of child development theories and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create engaging and stimulating learning experiences for young children
- Patience, empathy, and understanding in working with children
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the needs of individual children
- Have a strong knowledge of safeguarding and Prevent
