We are looking for a BANK Band 5 Registered General Nurse to join our friendly, inclusive and forward thinking District Team, working across the West Lancashire area to provide care and support to patients in community settings. Some of your responsibilities will be: To work as part of the 24-hour district nursing service, under the direction of the District Nursing Team Manager / Leader, providing high quality holistic care to patients. The District Nurse role carries delegated responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based nursing to patients in their own homes. To assume delegated responsibility for the supervision of the team in the absence of the District Nursing Team Leader, when required. To succeed within this role, you will have: A Degree/Diploma in Adult Nursing First level registered nurse Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team / multiagency working (Desirable) You need to have an understanding of undertaking complex assessments and the planning and evaluation of care package Excellent Communication, both written and verbal Evidence of effective interpersonal skills Clinical Risk assessment skills Ability to problem solve and make clinical decisions Understanding of NMC standards and implications to practice Ability to work independently in community setting High clinical standards We have built organisation-wide committees in many specialist fields.You’ll have the option to join your clinical specialism, networking with professionals from across the country.We get together regularly, auditing and sharing standard methodology for innovation and service re-design.
