Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Restaurant & Bar Manager to join our dynamic team in the popular and well known Lobster Pot in central Strangford. In this role, you will support the team by overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service and a high-quality dining experience for our guests. Your leadership skills and hospitality knowledge will be essential in maintaining our standards of food safety and hospitality. Our salary is negotiable dependant on experience and our team tips are an added perk We can offer this role over 4 days providing a brilliant work/life balance
Duties
* Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including staff supervision and training.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the dining areas.
* Oversee food and drinks service
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth food service
* Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
* Provide excellent customer service, addressing any guest concerns promptly and professionally.
* Support team management by fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and growth.
* Assist with scheduling staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
Skills
* Proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, with a strong understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques.
* Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team effectively.
* Strong culinary experience, with knowledge of food production processes and kitchen operations.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with staff and customers.
* A keen eye for detail regarding food safety standards and hygiene practices.
* Previous experience in hotel or barista roles is advantageous but not essential.
