Vacancy: Global Technical Operations L&D Lead

Job purpose
Technical Operations Learning and Development (L&D) plays a critical role in enabling Operations to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient performance across Johnson Matthey's global manufacturing network. As the business continues to advance operational maturity through deployment of its Production System (JMPS) and embed consistent global standards, there is an increasing need to strengthen the capability and confidence of our people through structured, role-based learning.
This role sits at the intersection of Operations, Learning, and Technology, supporting the implementation of competency frameworks, standardized learning pathways, and digital systems such as Workday Learning and Kahuna.
Principal accountabilities
1. Set a global strategy for technical learning and competency assurance across JM.
2. Partner with Global L&D, the Businesses, sites, and technical functions ensuring strong alignment and direction, and support, coordinating resources and capabilities.
3. Provide directional support on technical L&D and compliance learning, advising site leaders and business L&D teams.
4. Develop the framework and high-level global procedures for training and competency management, ensuring consistent standards (e.g., P17/G17, PRC017).
