The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team, where collaboration and innovation thrive in a supportive office environment with enthusiastic and dedicated staff. The role involves creating content such as press releases, fact sheets, media kits, and videos, ensuring alignment with the Law Society's local operational plan and broader organisational strategy. Additionally, you will assist Welsh-specific campaigns, develop social media and website activities, and ensure consistent messaging.
You will liaise with key internal and external stakeholders, manage media requests, and build relationships with the Welsh press and key journalists to enhance visibility and maintain a positive image of the Law Society's work in Wales.
This varied role requires a flexible, proactive approach and excellent organisational skills, where your expertise will be crucial in promoting the Law Society's presence in Wales through effective communication strategies.
What we're looking for
* Thorough knowledge of the workings of The Senedd and Welsh Government, crucial for developing effective communication strategies aligned with the political context in Wales.
* Experience in building strong relationships with the Welsh press and key journalists to ensure the Law Society's work is well-represented and visible in the media.
* Ability to write clear, high-quality content, including news announcements, press releases, and website copy, in both Welsh and English.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A proactive, constructive approach and excellent organisational skills.
* Experience in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at all levels, working proactively and reactively, often under tight deadlines.
