Nielsen, part of the Reabrook Group, is seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our growing sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive sales professional to drive new business growth while managing and developing key customer, distributor, and retail relationships across the UK and overseas markets.
Main Purpose of the Role
* Proactively identify, target, and secure new business opportunities.
* Retain, support, and grow existing customer, distributor, and retail accounts.
* Achieve and exceed agreed sales and competency KPI targets.
* Promote and adhere to the Reabrook Charter at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain a strong, winnable pipeline of new business opportunities within agreed timescales.
* Create targeted prospect lists including retailers, distributors, and national accounts.
* Proactively manage tender and bid processes from identification to submission.
* Manage and grow existing accounts to maximise sales opportunities while delivering high levels of service and support.
* Work closely with internal departments including Sales, Marketing, Accounts, IT, Product, Technical, Compliance, and Administration to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
* Ensure customers, distributors, and retailers are provided with accurate product information and support for safe and effective product use.
* Represent Nielsen and the Reabrook Group in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
* Attend sales meetings, conferences, product launches, exhibitions, and training courses as required.
* Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs in line with company expectations.
* Complete all required administration, reports, and CRM updates accurately and on time.
* Comply with all company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, and support the maintenance of company accreditations.
* Undertake additional duties as reasonably requested by the Head of Sales.
About You
* Proven experience in business development or field sales.
* Strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
* Experience managing tenders and bid processes.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Highly organised with strong administrative and CRM management skills.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.
* Willingness to travel across the UK and overseas when required.
Hours of work: 37 per week. Working from home but office work may be required.
