Job Summary
The Pharmacy Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of medications to patients and healthcare facilities while also supporting pharmacy stock management operations. This role requires strict adherence to delivery schedules, inventory control procedures, and regulatory standards to ensure uninterrupted patient care and efficient pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities – Delivery
· Deliver prescription medications accurately and within scheduled timeframes following the pharmacy's delivery procedures & protocols.
· Adhere strictly to assigned routes and delivery schedules.
· Verify delivery details, obtain required signatures, and maintain accurate documentation.
· Handle medications with care, ensuring compliance with safety and confidentiality standards.
· Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle at the end of the shifts.
· Communicate delivery updates or issues promptly to the pharmacy team leads.
· Follow all traffic laws and always follow company policies.
Key Responsibilities – Stock Management Support
· Assist in receiving, checking, and organising incoming pharmaceutical stock and supplies.
· Verify quantities against invoices and report discrepancies.
· Ensure proper shelving/ storage of medications according to temperature and regulatory requirements.
· Support stock rotation practices to reduce expired medications.
· Monitor stock levels and report low inventory to the pharmacy team leads.
· Assist with periodic stock counts and inventory audits.
· Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of storage areas in the pharmacy.
· Other ad-hoc duties may be required from time to time by your direct report.

Qualifications & Requirements
· Valid UK driver's license with a clean driving record is a must.
· Previous delivery or pharmacy experience preferred.
· GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English.
· Basic understanding of inventory handling and stock control processes is an advantage.
· Good knowledge of local area routes and traffic regulations.
· Physical fitness suitable for handling tasks associated with loading and unloading boxes/ totes.
· Excellent communication and basic record-keeping skills.
