Overview
Regent College London Careers is seeking an Employer Engagement Officer to join the Employability and Graduate Outcome Team to support the career development of students on various programmes including Business Management and Law, Health and Sports Science and Engineering and Computing. The role reports to the Head of Employability and Graduate Outcomes, within the Operations team, and works closely with employers, students, operations staff and alumni.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate with employers, including outreach and liaison to source vacancies and placement opportunities, and help match final year students with employment.
* Contribute to the delivery of bespoke careers activities and events, such as panel events, workshops, networking events and internships, to help students build their professional network and demonstrate skills to potential employers.
* Manage a multi-campus calendar focused on cohorts that need employment support; travel to campuses as required as the role is designed to work from campuses with a limited capacity for remote work.
* Negotiate with external partners and promote Regent College London and its students, leveraging sales skills and relationship-building to support recruitment needs.
* Screening, shortlisting, interviewing support, and helping students become more effective in their applications.
* Organise programmes and events related to employment support across multiple cohorts and campuses.
Qualifications and Experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build rapport with employers, students and colleagues.
* Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities; strong planning and time-management skills.
* Knowledge of Business Management and Healthcare sectors is beneficial; experience in an educational setting (HE or FE) is desirable.
* Right to work in the UK and availability for a full-time position (40 hours per week).
* Previous experience in employer engagement, career services or events coordination is desirable.
Details
* Location: primarily based in Holborn and Wembley with required visits to other campuses as needed.
* Hours: students attend 7 days a week, weekdays 9:00 am to 9:00 pm; staff operate on a rota including evenings and weekends.
