Overview
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
Shift pattern: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 08:30–16:30. Wednesday 08:30–16:00.
Role opportunity
An opportunity has arisen with West of Scotland Rehabilitation & Mobility Centre (WestMARC) for a Higher Clerical Officer, within our Yoker Depot. WestMARC provides a range of rehabilitation technology services for the West of Scotland, covering 6 health boards delivered by clinical teams to wheelchair and seating patients and prosthetics patients.
Responsibilities
* Work within a small administration team carrying out a variety of administration tasks.
* Call patients and schedule appointments for repairs to their wheelchair.
* Update patient records and provide reception cover to visitors attending the site.
* Perform general administration duties as required.
Qualifications
* Educated to SVQ Level 3 or have equivalent knowledge and experience in an administration environment.
* Sound knowledge of office packages and excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Experience of working in an office environment with a patient focus is desirable.
* Ability to deal with difficult situations and remain calm under pressure.
