Overview
We are looking for a housing officer to join our dedicated team in Dudley. This is a static role, meaning youll be based in a specific area, ensuring that properties are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with AASC standards.
Responsibilities
* Conducting monthly property inspections to ensure compliance with AASC standards.
* Managing on-boarding and withdrawal of properties in line with local operating procedures.
* Identifying and reporting property faults, ensuring they are categorised correctly for appropriate action.
* Performing minor property repairs, using the tools and training provided.
* Handling operational cash administration, such as topping up utility meters and processing emergency payments.
* Responding to and resolving customer complaints in a professional manner.

Qualifications
* While experience as a Housing Officer is preferred, we also welcome applications from candidates who have worked with vulnerable people.
* Strong communication skills are essential, as well as confidence in handling challenging situations such as anti-social behaviour, safeguarding concerns, and medical needs.
* Due to the nature of the role, successful candidates will need to undergo Counter Terrorism Check (CTC) security clearance and a Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) check (subject to Home Office approval).
* To be considered, you must hold a full, clean driving licence.
