A prominent player in the food manufacturing sector is looking for a skilled Software Controls Engineer to join their team. This company specialises in innovative turnkey systems that produce a variety of food products for well established clients worldwide.
In this position, you will report to the Controls and Automation Manager and will be instrumental in supporting multiple departments to ensure successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Train staff on PLC/HMI/SCADA systems and assist with customer demonstrations.
* Conduct pre-order research and participate in control design meetings.
* Write control specification documents and maintain project documentation.
* Interpret electrical schematics and integrate hardware with HMIs.
* Design and develop software for control systems using various platforms.
* Optimize existing software and assist with recipe management and reporting.
* Modify and commission systems, troubleshoot issues, and provide customer training and support.
* Collaborate with team members on projects and assist with breakdowns as needed.
Qualifications
* Experience in software design and development for control systems.
* Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming.
* Strong understanding of electrical schematics and control systems.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills.
* Strong organizational and time management abilities.
