We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Support Engineer at Nidec Drives. The successful candidate will work with the Global Technical Support Manager to ensure that Control Techniques provides high levels of proactive and reactive technical support to the Drive Centre network, Country Partners, Distributors, and key end customers, covering our product range.
Support will be delivered via Support Suite, telephone, email, Microsoft Teams, and customer site visits. The role involves collaboration with R&D on product hardware and firmware testing, as well as working with the documentation team to generate and maintain user documentation.
This position reports to the Global Technical Support Manager and is based within the R&D Department at Nidec Drives headquarters in Newtown, United Kingdom.
Responsibilities
* Provide reactive and proactive technical support to the Drive Centre network, Partners, Distributors, and end customers.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Technical Support Lab facilities.
* Ensure safety in the Technical Support office and Labs, including risk assessments.
* Travel regularly within Europe and internationally for conferences, exhibitions, and customer visits.
Requirements
* Degree or HNC in Electrical Engineering.
