Beech House Dental Practice is looking for a Dental Hygienist on a
MONDAY 8.30am-5.00pm
We are a private practice in Eastbourne looking for a skilled and compassionate qualified hygienist to join our friendly team to look after our established hygienist list. We are a stones throw away from the beach as well as the town centre.
You will be provided with a qualified nurse and full list of patients.
We have an excellent reputation for general dentistry as well as a referring practice for Endodontics. We are a modern practice with latest equipment including a CBCT/OPG scanner.
Job Overview:
As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality oral healthcare to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental scaling (PMPR), provide preventive care, and educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough dental scaling, including removing plaque and tartar build up
- Conduct oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessments
- Administer local anesthesia and apply fluoride treatments
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
-Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex dental procedures in a clear and understandable manner
- Attention to detail and strong manual dexterity for performing precise dental tasks
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
- Compassionate and empathetic approach towards patient care
