Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain front-end applications using React and modern JavaScript frameworks
* Work across the full software development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, defect resolution, and deployment
* Ensure work meets agreed quality, functionality, and delivery timelines
* Participate fully in Agile, sprint-based delivery, including planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
* Build user interfaces that consume and integrate REST APIs
* Apply best practices around code quality, performance, accessibility, and progressive enhancement
* Support and mentor junior developers and contractors where appropriate
* Collaborate with back-end engineers and QA to deliver well-rounded solutions
* Contribute to shared standards, patterns, and continuous improvement across the team

Qualifications
* Strong commercial experience with React
* Experience with modern JS frameworks including Remix and React Router
* In-depth knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript
* Solid understanding of server-side rendering (SSR) and progressive enhancement
* Experience using the MUI React component library
* Strong experience building and consuming REST APIs
* Hands on experience with end-to-end testing, ideally using Playwright
* Experience working in Agile / Scrum teamsA good understanding of software design, implementation and deployment principles
* Detail-oriented, quality-focused with strong time-management and prioritisation skills
