Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing efficient transport plans that optimise logistics and ensure timely delivery of goods. This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while collaborating with various stakeholders. The shift pattern will be a 4 on 4 off covering 7 days.
Duties
* Develop and implement transport strategies that align with supply chain objectives.
* Manage transportation schedules, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery of goods.
* Utilise Excel for data analysis and reporting, maintaining accurate records of transport activities.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to coordinate logistics operations effectively.
* Drive improvements in transport efficiency through innovative planning and problem-solving techniques.
* Prepare reports and presentations using Word and Outlook, communicating effectively in English with team members and stakeholders.
* Provide leadership in transport planning initiatives, mentoring junior staff as required.
Experience
* Proven experience in transport planning is required.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* A solid understanding of supply chain processes is advantageous.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities, fostering a collaborative team environment.
