Why be a Merchandising Manager at THG Beauty?

Reporting in to the Head of Category Merchandising, you'll be responsible for Stock and Intake Strategy, Planning and Management of Stock Profile in support of business KPIs through effective trading and driving the department in conjunction with buying.

As Merchandising Manager, you’ll:

1. Responsible for building department strategy and long-term plans alongside buyer to support divisional KPI's

2. Leads the department in conjunction with the buyer to fulfil the department and business strategy

3. Has a flexible management style to support the development of immediate team and wider merch function

4. Supports the division through involvement with project work, including cross functional involvement

5. Prepare reporting for weekly and monthly review meetings

6. Reviews daily and weekly sales performance and recommends replenishment actions where required

7. Takes a strategic approach in driving the department forward by gaining a strong understanding of key competitors

8. Responsible for numerous high profile brand accounts; keeps strong supplier relationships and communication

9. Manage order placement and intake to ensure on time product launches and product lead times are adhered to

10. Takes ownership of Category WSSI management, ensuring stock levels are optimised through accurate sales and intake forecasts and future demand.

11. Effective stock management whilst highly focused on hitting departmental warehouse availability targets. Manages fast and slow moving stock and makes recommendations to move it through the business in the most profitable route possible

12. Accurately forecasts new product launches to achieve the optimum profit, balanced with sell through whilst maintaining high product availability

13. Builds a strong network cross functionally within the business and in particular Buying & Trading

14. Manages the team and supports the Heads of Merchandising

What skills and experience do I need for this role?

15. Very organised and self-motivated individual who works well on their own initiative

16. Experienced in working as part of a team

17. Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

18. Highly numerate with strong analytical skills

19. Strong verbal and written communication skills with all levels of internal and external seniority

20. Highly flexible to adapt to the needs of a fast paced environment

21. Strong commercial awareness

22. Must have strong IT skills – Excel proficient

23. Min 1-year experience in a similar role – or Graduate with industry work placement/internship
