Health and Safety ManagerLocation: On Site, Stockton on Tees, North EastSalary: £55k - £60k plus company carA family-owned construction company who is renowned for quality, integrity, and innovation in the construction sector and now looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join their team due to a number of exciting new projects.The company specialises in Design, Construction, Civil Engineering, Property Development, Property Management, Leisure and Event Management.The Health and Safety Manager in the North East Region will support stakeholders to achieve the highest levels of HS&E performance. A key member of the HS&E team, working closely with assigned projects teams and project supply chain members to give high quality HS&E support.The company value their people and prioritize collaboration, transparency, and career development. This is an excellent opportunity to become a vital part of their growing team.Health and Safety Manager Job Role:Provide high levels of HS&E support and advice to assigned projectsIdentify and escalate any resource issues, which could create a HS&E risk for projects you support.Conduct regular audits, inspections and assessments to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvementsSupport implementation and embedment of companywide HS&E strategy objectivesInfluence and support project personnel to lead and engage in HS&EPromote and help create a positive HS&E reporting culture establishing project KPIs & targets and monitor progress against these objectivesMonitor and drive project HS&E performance against company HS&E metricsSupport project compliance with company HS&EClient facing, primary contact for health and safetyLead investigations, including root cause analysisWith the assistance of the Project Manager, develop and maintain project safety documentationHealth and Safety Manager Person Requirements:The ideal candidate MUST come from the Construction Industry as a Health and Safety Manager.You will also have the following skills, qualifications and experience:Member of IOSH working towards Chartered StatusHold a NEBOSH Diploma or Equivalent in Occupational Health and SafetyExperience of providing HS&E support to complex Construction or Civil Engineering projectsCompetent understanding and ability to apply root cause analysisGood communication and influencing skillsA proactive approach to your own learning and developmentFirst Aid at WorkSMSTS and associated CSCS card.Desirable Skills and ExperienceCITB Temporary Works CoordinatorMental health first aidCITB management of lifting operations/appointed person or similar demonstrable experienceFace fit testingCISRS scaffold inspectionPersonal AttributesProactive and Solutions focusedStrong Communicator and Influencer.TPBN1_UKTJ
