This vacancy is for a GranthamTeam Community MidwifeBand 6;

up to 30 hours/week, permanent contract, available.

Are you looking to be part of an amazing team committed to delivering gold-standard midwifery care? We are delighted to share that we have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, patient-centred Midwife to join our Community Midwifery team in Grantham on a part‑time permanent basis. The team actively supports flexible working, with different patterns/options suiting different staff in place, including long days. We are led by a supportive management team who value the incredible input of each of our team members and the fantastic contribution they make to safe and exemplary care every day.


Main duties of the job

* Midwife who uses their initiative to problem solve, has excellent team working and communication skills and who is well‑versed in time management

Community Midwifery has an on call commitment & it is essential you hold a UK driving licence.


About us

Pilgrim Hospital is situated in beautiful countryside and serves the communities in the South Lincolnshire area. It provides all major specialties and a 24‑hour major accident and emergency service.

Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area. It provides ambulatory paediatric and accident and emergency services.

Lincoln Hospital is a thriving university city and with the opening of the medical school, it provides all major specialties and a 24‑hour major accident and emergency service.

United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been granted teaching hospital status, after demonstrating evidence to significant teaching commitment. From now on it will be known as United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county.

This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations, but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire. Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.

The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).

Person Specification


Qualifications

* Registered Midwife with NMC
* Diploma/Degree in Midwifery or equivalent
* Demonstrate commitment to on‑going professional development
* Driving Licence and ability to use vehicle for business purposes
* Degree or Masters Academic Qualification in relevant/applicable field
* NIPE Qualification
* Recognised management qualification


Experience

* 6 months post band 6 experience
* Skilled and updated in all spheres of midwifery practice
* Evidence of knowledge/experience with safeguarding
* Skilled in Home births/IIA
* Demonstrate involvement in clinical audit
* Able to undertake, interpret and apply appropriate research based findings
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Change management
* Awareness and Knowledge of the dignity in care agenda
* Ability to evidence/demonstrate key values and behaviours in line with the Trust framework


Specific Requirements

* Ambition to succeed
* Skilled in multi‑disciplinary team working
