Lead Lecturer in Law – Halesowen College
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Lead Lecturer in Law to join our college. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality teaching and assessment at A Level and BTEC Applied Law levels, and may also contribute to other A Level programmes.
Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver the A Level Law provision, including curriculum development and assessment.
* Contribute to the delivery of BTEC Applied Law Level 3 Certificate/Extended Certificate.
* Design and manage engaging, student‑centred lessons, ensuring excellent classroom management.
* Develop students' critical understanding of contemporary legal issues and apply them within the curriculum.
* Encourage extracurricular activities such as visits and enrichment experiences.
* Participate in safeguarding and vetting procedures, including Enhanced DBS checks.
Qualifications
* Strong academic background in Law.
* Proven experience as a student‑centred teacher with organisational and classroom management skills.
* Track record of high student achievement at Level 3 (or equivalent).
* Demonstrated interest in contemporary legal issues and the ability to engage students in their application.
* Willingness to develop teaching skills and obtain a professional teaching qualification.
