Job Summary
A precision engineering manufacturer is seeking a proactive and mechanically minded Trainee Bi-Metal Heading Machine Setter/Operator to join their rivet production team. This role offers full training to operate and set up specialist machinery used to manufacture solid and bimetal electrical contact rivets.
Candidates with CAM experience or a background in Mechanical Engineering are particularly encouraged to apply.
Key Duties
* Operate, set, and maintain bi-metal heading machines
* Produce solid, bimetal, and specialised rivets to specification
* Perform routine quality checks and inspections
* Ensure safe working practices and maintain clean work area
* Work closely with engineering and tooling teams to resolve technical issues
Candidate Requirements
* Practical experience with CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) systems or education/experience in Mechanical Engineering
* Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in precision manufacturing
* Willingness to learn and follow structured training plans
* Ability to follow technical instructions and maintain quality standards
