Location: Fradley, Staffordshire
Salary: up to £36k depending on experience
Working Hours: 40-hour week (with flexibility required as part of a growing and evolving business)
We are a specialist, highly regulated production business focused on delivering consistently high-quality products within a controlled environment.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a knowledgeable and detail-focused Quality Assurance Officer to join our expanding Quality team.
About the Role
This is a key role within a highly regulated environment, supporting the maintenance and development of the Companys Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring ongoing compliance with industry standards.
Working closely with the QA Manager and wider team, you will contribute to validation, compliance and continuous improvement activities across the business.
The role primarily involves:
Supporting the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS)
Drafting and reviewing procedures and quality documentation
Supporting deviation investigations, CAPA and change control processes
Reviewing and approving batch manufacturing records
Assisting with internal audits and self-inspections
Supporting preparation for external inspections and regulatory audits
Contributing to validation and qualification activities (IQ, OQ, PQ)
Providing quality input across manufacturing and business operations
Supporting the maintenance of quality certifications and compliance standards
What This Role Requires
This role is suited to individuals who are highly organised, analytical and comfortable working within a structured, compliance-driven environment.
You will need to demonstrate:
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
A solid understanding of quality assurance within regulated environments
The ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A proactive, self-motivated approach to work
The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Experience
We are particularly interested in candidates with:
A degree in a relevant life science subject (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy)
Experience working within a GMP-regulated environment
Exposure to pharmaceutical or API manufacturing environments
Experience supporting validation and qualification activities
Experience working with quality systems, documentation and compliance processes
Experience with analytical techniques or advanced validation work would be beneficial but is not essential.
Additional Requirements
Good level of spoken and written English
Comfortable working within a highly regulated environment
Strong IT skills and confidence working with quality and data systems
Willingness to support occasional travel and out-of-hours activity if required
