To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Payroll Officer to join our team in Warrington, UK.

The role of the Payroll Officer is integral to ensuring that both of our monthly payrolls are executed on time. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all payroll related data is collected, processed and approved ready for submission to our third-party payroll vendor. Working to tight timescales, they will also be responsible for pension administration, benefit administration (including private medical cover) and reporting from our global HRIS.

What a typical day looks like:

1. Manage the monthly payroll process, gathering all relevant information and ensuring an accurate and timely service is maintained

2. Administer bonus payments, stock administration and overtime payments, providing relevant data for finance as required

3. Ensure payroll costs are within budget, reconcile supplier invoices to ensure accurate billing

4. Providing salary benchmarking information and supporting the annual pay review application process

5. Stay up to date with payroll related legislation and any changes in employee compensation and tax and pension regulations to support the compliance of the business within this area

6. Prepare the Gender Pay Gap report for the business

7. Support the resolution of payroll queries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.

8. To ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements

9. Assist with administration of P11Ds and End of Year processes.

10. Responsible for identifying and implementing continuous process improvements within the payroll function

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

11. CIPP or CIPD level 3 or above qualification is desirable

12. Extensive knowledge and use of a HRIS. Workday experience would be extremely advantageous

13. Able to work across multiple systems and platforms

14. Extensive experience as an administrator or similar

15. Passionate to provide high quality customer service

16. Ensures attention to detail on all inputs and outputs

17. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion

18. Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail

19. Excellent problem-solving skills

20. Ability to prioritise and handle muti tasks and meet deadlines

21. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels in the organization.

22. Familiar with Microsoft Excel at an advanced level
