Job Description
A tech giant in Glasgow are seeking to bolster their team with a skilled IT Support Engineer. \n Handle incidents and service requests via the ticketing system, including onboarding/offboarding support and coordination with remote/global IT teams. \n Install, configure, repair, and decommission IT equipment (laptops, servers, network devices, and video conferencing systems), including data migration and software setup.
\n Perform network patching and debugging; Manage IT inventory and stock levels, ensuring accurate tracking of hardware assets and responsible IT waste disposal. \n Provide end-user assistance, including VIP and meeting room/event support, and contribute to the creation and review of knowledge base articles. \n\n Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software installation, and troubleshooting across various platforms and devices.
\n Experience with basic network support, including patching, cabling, and debugging connectivity issues. \n Ability to interact effectively with end-users and global IT teams through Teams/email for issue resolution and remote support. \n Competence in managing inventory, coordinating deployments, and maintaining accurate documentation.
