Role Summary
The System Analyst is responsible for providing technical and business support for customers using DXC’s Iris underwriting system. A strong knowledge of Iris or similar London market underwriting systems is required, along with an understanding of London Market Underwriting processes and messaging interactions with market consortiums. Excellent client communication skills and the ability to produce high-quality functional specifications are essential. This role is home-based but may require travel to customer sites. Collaboration with development and testing teams is also part of the role.
This role involves working on DXC’s next-generation Assure for Commercial and Specialty system, which will upgrade Iris. The analyst will help ensure the system meets the needs of London market underwriters, assist with configuration, data migration, and training during implementation.
Part-time working hours will be considered.
Essential Skills/Qualifications
* Significant insurance domain knowledge of London Insurance market processes (Policy, Claims, Technical Accounting).
* Understanding messaging flows to/from underwriting systems within the London market.
* Awareness of Lloyd’s Future of Lloyd’s / Blueprint II initiatives and their impact on underwriting systems.
* Experience with or providing functional direction for insurance software products or modules.
* Practical knowledge of at least one London Market Underwriting system.
* Excellent presentation and demonstration skills.
* Confidence in managing customer expectations and guiding specification reviews under tight timelines.
* Self-motivated with high energy to solve problems and find innovative solutions.
Desirable Skills/Qualifications
* Experience with DXC’s existing underwriting products.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to understand complex requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
* Experience in planning, designing, and recommending business processes.
* Flexibility to travel and adapt to changing priorities.
* Ability to analyze data (preferably with SQL knowledge).
* Experience in testing software functionality.
* Insurance Industry qualification (e.g., A.C.I.I.).
* Knowledge of insurance/reinsurance software packages and analysis techniques.
* High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and in teams.
* Willingness to travel.
