Hays Human Resources are delighted to partner with a leading engineering organisation based in Glasgow as they look to appoint an experienced HR Advisor to their team. Your new role
As a generalist HR Advisor, you will work closely with the HR Manager and wider leadership team to deliver aprehensive and proactive HR service. You’ll be responsible for supporting all aspects of HR, ensuring a positive working environment and driving best practice across the organisation.
Your remit will include:
- Providing professional advice and guidance to managers and employees in line with HR policies, procedures and employment legislation
- Supporting a range of ER activities including onboarding, offboarding, probation, absence management, disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Coordinating recruitment activities, including job postings, CV screening, interview scheduling and liaising with hiring managers.
- Delivering HR induction sessions and preparing all new starter documentation
- Maintaining and updating employee data within HRIS systems
- Supporting the development and implementation of HR processes and policies
- Supporting the performance review process and maintaining the appraisal system
- Assisting with training needs analysis and development initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working in a generalist HR role
- Proven experience across recruitment, employee relations and performance management
- Strongmunication skills and the ability to build positive relationships at all levels
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- Experience using HRIS systems, ideally including implementation
- Analytical thinking and problem‑solving capability
- CIPD qualification or equivalent experience
