Our client, a global leader in specialty insurance, is seeking a Senior Claims Handler to join their established Liability team. You’ll be managing a caseload of Employers’ and Public Liability claims – using your experience to assess, negotiate and settle claims efficiently and fairly, while supporting junior team members and collaborating with underwriting teams.

Responsibilities & day to day duties
As a Senior Claims Handler, you will be responsible for:
* Handle a caseload of Employers’ and Public Liability claims from start to finish
* Accurately assess liability, allocate reserves, and settle claims in line with authority limits and service targets
* Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and internal company procedures
* Provide technical guidance to underwriters regarding policy coverage queries
* Mentor and support junior colleagues with complex cases and referrals
* Maintain a strong focus on customer service, efficiency, and quality
Skills & experience required
* Proven experience in handling EL/PL liability claims
* Confident in managing your own caseload from notification to resolution
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
* Strong analytical and numeracy ability for managing workflow and financials
* GCSEs (A–C) and/or A-Levels (or equivalent); CII qualifications are an advantage
* A customer-first mindset and ability to work with professionalism and empathy
