Job Description:
We are proud to work closely with one of the UK's busiest residential-led developers, seeking an Assistant Development Manager to support various schemes across Western and Central England.
Applicants should have strong planning and development experience, with the level depending on your background. Whether currently in a "development" or "planning" role, candidates with a good understanding of the property sector, placemaking, and numeracy tend to excel. The role involves supporting or managing schemes from 100 to 1000 units, often collaborating with JV partners and colleagues in Land and Construction during different development stages.
Responsibilities include:
* Assessing potential development sites with land buying colleagues for planning viability.
* Managing pre-application processes and planning applications with external consultants.
* Conducting due diligence, development appraisals, and feasibility studies.
* Coordinating with internal teams and external consultants.
* Negotiating S106 agreements.
* Managing discharge of conditions and RMAs.
* Representing the company at planning meetings, consultations, and related events.
Ideal candidates will:
* Hold a Development or Town Planning degree (preferably RTPI or RICS accredited).
* Have experience with a consultancy, developer, or housing association.
* Possess excellent communication, written, and numeracy skills.
* Be dedicated, hardworking, and a team player.
This role is suitable for someone eager to learn and grow, willing to work hard, with potential for bonuses that can double with extra effort. Immediate applications are encouraged, as the client aims to fill the position quickly.
Please apply or contact Adaora for a discussion. Your CV will not be shared without your consent. If you do not hear back within a week, consider your application unsuccessful, but your details will be retained for future opportunities.
