Working Hours:
42 hours per week – 4 on / 4 off rotating shift pattern
0600 – 1800 / 1800 – 0600
Purpose of the role:
As a Production Operative within the operational team at our Hereford site, you’ll be responsible for the smooth operation of feed production and control room activities, as well as covering the Shift Lead when required.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Handling/lifting pre-mix bags averaging 25kg
* Following instructions from your Team Leader/Management
* Reporting pest control issues
* Completing daily paperwork
* Conducting daily/weekly stock checks
* Isolating plant and machinery
* Working as part of a small team and adapting to business needs
* Managing daily activities of the area and team
* Training and developing team members to improve performance
* Maintaining quality assurance systems
* Managing E, H & S systems in the area
* Controlling contractors and permits, including confined space, hot work, and working at height
* Managing bin stock for cost efficiency
* Operating Feed Mill plant via computer
* Covering shifts as required
What we are looking for:
* Good English and numeracy skills
* Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
* Attention to detail and flexibility
* Experience in production/manufacturing is desirable but not essential; full training provided
