As the Single-Seater Junior Categories Technical Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to uphold the principle of technical equity across the FIA’s single-seater pyramid (F2, F3, FR and F4). You will be responsible for both developing and maintaining the technical regulations and deploying them at the track, managing relationships with manufacturers and coordinating the scrutineering teams at events. In addition, you will play a key role in defining and developing, in collaboration with manufacturers, the next generation of single-seater cars, ensuring they meet the evolving technical, sporting, and sustainability objectives of the FIA. You will report to the Head of Junior Single Seater Technical.
MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
TECHNICAL REGULATION & MANUFACTURER LIAISON:
* Work on the development of technical regulations, focusing on safety, sporting equity, spectacle, and cost constraints.
* Manage car homologation processes and documentation, attend relevant inspection, homologation and development tests.
* Performing detailed inspections of components and assemblies using CAD software.
* Support technical communications with chassis and engine manufacturers, acting as a point of contact for exchanges.
* Participate in and support the preparation for Technical Working Group and Committee meetings.
OPERATIONS & SCRUTINEERING :
* Supervise the team of FIA Technical Delegates at events, ensuring strict compliance with the regulations.
* Organize scrutineering and technical checks, issuing procedures and coordinating their implementation with the on-site team.
* Coordinate with championship promoters, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth technical operations.
* Oversee the data analysis and reporting between the racetrack and internal FIA stakeholders.
PROFILE:
* Degree in mechanical or aeronautical engineering (or equivalent).
* Previous experience of 5 to 10 years as a design or trackside lead engineer within a prominent Single-Seater category (F2, F3, FR, F4) or a chassis/engine manufacturer.
* In-depth knowledge of Single-Seater cars and a solid understanding of current technical design practices and regulations.
* Solid proficiency in CAD software (3D modeling, drafting, and assembly management).
* Knowledge of metrology tools and equipment.
* Proficiency in data analysis using motorsport data logging software.
* Fluent in English, ability to write technical documents (reports & regulations), French knowledge would be a plus.

This position is based at the FIA offices in Geneva (Switzerland) and requires regular international travel to 10-12 race events per season and manufacturer tests.
