About The Role
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-orientedFirst Line Governance Managerto join our fast-paced Consumer Roadside division. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our operations meet the highest standards of compliance and customer outcomes under theFCA’s Consumer Duty guidelines.
We are looking for someone who is highly motivated with strong knowledge and experience in General Insurance Industry and of Consumer Duty. Practical experience in leading governance forums, producing documented packs, recording minutes and tracking actions will be an advantage. The role involves supporting the business with change and risk management so excellent stakeholder management across varying levels of the leadership and exec teams are essential.
This is a hybrid role, working 2 days a week from our Bradley Stoke office and 3 days a week at home
What you will do…
* Lead and manage governance approval forums: chair meetings, document minutes, challenge proposals, and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
* Drivefirst-line compliancewith Consumer Duty, supporting bothBAU activitiesandproject-based initiatives.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams toembed a culture of accountability and transparency.
* Conductpost-implementation reviewsto assess customer outcomes and business impact.
* Support the development oftraining and awareness materialsto promote understanding of compliance standards.
* Maintain accurate records and evidence of governance decisions and outcomes.
What you will need…
* Proven experience infinancial services, ideally within a governance, compliance, or risk role.
* Strong understanding ofConsumer Dutyand its practical application.
* Understanding of personal lines insurance products, operating models and trading dynamics.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Highly organised with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Comfortable working in afast-paced, dynamic environment whilst still delivery high standards.
