We are working with an Academy in West London that are aiming to find specialist support staff to help with learners that have ASD and behavioural difficulties.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in creating a positive and supportive learning atmosphere for students with SEN.
Responsibilities
* Providing one‑on‑one and small group support to students with behavioural challenges.
* Implementing behaviour intervention plans and strategies in collaboration with teachers and other specialists.
* Using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviours and social skills.
* Monitoring and tracking student progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
* Assisting teachers in classroom management and promoting a harmonious learning environment.
* Building strong rapport with students, parents, and colleagues to facilitate effective communication.
Qualifications
* Experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs, particularly those with behavioural challenges.
* Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and intervention strategies.
* Empathy, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Relevant certifications or training in behaviour management (desirable but not mandatory).
