Overview
Accenture UK & Ireland is seeking a Management Consultant – Utilities dedicated to expediting the energy transition for a wide‑range portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will work across strategy, technology and operational excellence to help clients reduce emissions while ensuring a stable and affordable energy supply.
Responsibilities
* Work with utilities clients to understand their challenges and guide them through the energy transition.
* Use structured and innovative problem‑solving skills to deliver the right solutions.
* Apply deep analytical and data‑driven consulting skills, including financial and market data analysis.
* Recommend and apply innovative technologies to answer client questions.
* Project‑manage and apply Agile, Lean and Design Thinking delivery methods.
* Build and maintain stakeholder relationships to accomplish team objectives.
* Communicate effectively in written, verbal and presentation formats.
Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience in utilities (generation, transmission & distribution, electric vehicles or retail energy).
* Broad knowledge of global power and energy markets in the context of low‑carbon transition.
* Technical expertise in low‑carbon asset development and operations, including processes and best practices.
* Experience working with technical and engineering stakeholders to drive operational excellence.
* Experience designing new business models or transforming existing ones through organizational development.
* Expert knowledge in specific elements of the energy system (e.g., gas to hydrogen, balancing markets).
* Understanding of the UK regulatory environment and ability to analyze market changes.
