Research Nurse

The closing date is 28 May 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Nurse to join the Division 1 Hartland Research Team, working primarily on haematology research studies. The post holder will be involved in coordinating and recruiting patients to a wide range of haematology clinical trials within the NIHR portfolio, including both commercial and non‑commercial studies.

Based at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, the Research Nurse will work Monday to Friday during standard working hours. This is a busy and diverse research portfolio, requiring close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across the hospital to support patient identification, recruitment, and ongoing trial delivery.

The role offers the opportunity to contribute to high‑quality research that directly impacts patient care, while working as part of a supportive and experienced research team.

Strong IT skills are essential, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as a significant proportion of the role involves data collection and management for research participants.

The Research Nurse will be expected to supervise and/or mentor student nurses undertaking clinical research placements. They will also be responsible for the implementation, coordination, and ongoing monitoring of clinical requirements associated with research activity, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of clinical trials.
