Due to retirement The Revel Surgery are looking for an enthusiastic nurse with experience in Primary Care to join our supportive team.
Revel Surgery operates from a purpose built premises in beautiful rural Warwickshire. We have a large and friendly clinical team, onsite dispensary and excellent links with Rugby PCN.

Main duties of the job
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties may vary under the direction of the Senior Nurse and Practice Manager depending on workload and staffing levels and may include the following:
Primary Nursing Duties
* Perform smears and cervical Cytology
* Providing wound and ulcer care
* Undertaking suture and clip removal
* Performing ECGs
* Carrying out compression bandaging
* Measuring blood pressure, temperature and pulse
* Measuring height, weight, BMI and blood sugar levels
* Ascertaining smoking status
* Providing venepuncture and phlebotomy services
* Taking peak flow readings
* Undertaking urine testing
* Conducting routine immunisations including routine childhood immunisations
* Chronic disease management (Diabetes, learning disabilities, CHD Asthma/COPD)
* Undertaking opportunistic screening for diabetes
* Assisting in providing emergency treatment if required
* Assisting GPs in minor surgeries
* Assisting in fittings of intra-uterine devices
* Administering therapeutic injections e.g Prolia, Zoladex, prostap & any other injections requested by secondary care
* Supporting the annual Flu and Shingles campaign
About us
Revel Surgery is a one site practice with a patient list size currently of 7,900.
We have two partners and six salaried GP's. The nursing team currently consists of one nurse and one HCA. We have an onsite dispensary.
We also have additional PCN roles working in the practice; First Contact Physiotherapist, Pharmacy Technician, Dietician, Clinical Psychologist, Wellbeing Counsellor and Social Prescriber.
We are a training practice and support GP registrars, Foundation Doctors and Medical Students.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse
* Qualification in Chronic Disease Management
