Overview
The Tissue Viability Service has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with a keen interest in all aspects of tissue viability to become part of our friendly team. We are looking for highly motivated, proactive nurses with good communication skills.
Responsibilities
* Implement specific Tissue Viability care plans for patients with complex altered skin integrity issues and provide ongoing monitoring of care to ensure optimal care and treatment. A period of training will be required before the post holder can independently complete initial assessments.
* Support the Tissue Viability service to action improvement plans and monitor quality care programmes.
* Share ideas with the Tissue Viability team to improve services and suggest areas for innovation.
* Participate in the investigation of incidents/complaints as required.
* Support the promotion of wound care formulary adherence.
* Participate in education and training in all aspects of Tissue Viability.
Role and Training
The post holder will:
* Organise own workload to meet the demands of a reactive and busy environment.
* Assist in multi-tasking and support the Senior Tissue Viability Team to provide a consistently excellent service.
* Experience as a Tissue Viability link nurse is desirable; training will be provided. The successful applicant will be required to undertake a period of e-learning activities.

* All referred patients will be reviewed by a member of the Tissue Viability Service within 2 working days of accepting the referral.
